We were extremely proud of our 10 year old daughter for choosing to go to a camp 17 hours away from home for a month. Adirondack Camp made such an effort to make this summer special for her. Intermediate campers are 10-12. Intermediates are the heart of summer residential camp. Happy and thriving, they appreciate simple pleasures with a carefree attitude and you can hear their shouts of delight everywhere.

A principle goal for our intermediate summer camp boys and camp girls is that they discover the activities about which they are most passionate. Our program director, with the support of camp counselors, will work with kids to design a schedule that encourages trying new things but also reinforces skills and allows them to “specialize” where they’ve found an activity that really “wows” them.

Adventure wilderness trips eligibility for Intermediates include the Lake George 5, Reflections, Fire-tower series, Wild Waters, Northville-Lake Placid Trail, and certain of the 46er High Peaks.

Intermediate call to quarters is 8:30 with lights out at 9 pm.
