Description:

Dates available: August 8-21 RN needed to join our team of three nurses to provide care for campers and staff. Responsible for organizing and supervising camper and staff medical needs, including dispensing meds, first aid requirements in camp and for off-site trips, camper check-in and check-out, and follow up health care as needed. Responsible for organizing necessary paperwork, including documentation of procedures and insurance follow-up. Responsible for ongoing communication with directors, counseling staff, and parents.

Certifications:

Must be either current NYS licensed Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse, or capable of securing temporary NYS license (see below for details). Position requires certification in Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid; Responding to Emergencies is preferred first aid training.

Other Details:

Must be at least 25 years of age. 2+ years experience in camp, school, or pediatric medical environment. Computerized record keeping skills required. Tuition for one to two camper aged children negotiable. Out-of-state personnel may practice with a limited permit from the Professional Licensing Services of the NYS Education Department.
