Description:

We are seeking dynamic, energetic Pied Pipers for our Wilderness Adventure program. Responsible for leading day hikes and extensive overnight wilderness trips into the Adirondacks. Trip staff will assist with other activities when in camp, including leading our nature program.

Certifications:

Must be at least 21 years old. CPR for the Professional Rescuer is required Responding to Emergencies (RTE) or Wilderness First Aid at minimum, Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Preferred Current American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard certification preferred Must have valid driver's license. Certifications must be current through the end of the employment period. A limited number of certifications will be available through Adirondack Camp, but all staff members are strongly encouraged to find appropriate certification classes in advance.

Other Details:

Trip staff must have documented experience of progressively challenging wilderness experience, including backcountry camping. Trip staff live in cabins with our campers, and must possess the maturity and the communication skills to create a safe and happy cabin community. Counselors also teach in a program area and must be capable of delivering safe, fun, and engaging activities to all ages of campers. Applicants must have experience in their program area.
