Description:

We are seeking outstanding instructors who know how to make swim lessons fun! Instructors are responsible for planning daily lessons based on the Red Cross program that are safe, enjoyable, and effective.

Certifications:

Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification and/or experience teaching swim lessons is desirable. All positions require certification in Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Waterfront Lifeguard Certification is required for all waterfront positions, and Responding to Emergencies (RTE) is highly recommended. Certifications must be current through the end of the employment period. A limited number of certifications will be available through Adirondack Camp, but all staff members are strongly encouraged to find appropriate certification classes in advance.

Other Details:

Counselors live in cabins with our campers, and must possess the maturity and the communication skills to create a safe and happy cabin community. Counselors also teach in a program area and must be capable of delivering safe, fun, and engaging activities to all ages of campers. Applicants must have experience in their program area and be at least 19 years of age.
