Transportation

Adirondack provides certain transportation options to help you get your child to and from camp.

While many children are brought to Camp by their parents, we can also assist you with your transportation issues to and from Camp in several ways. If you want to have our chartered bus pick-up or drop-off your child, you must contact the main office to make arrangements prior to the day of travel.

Bus

Manhattan

All bus pick-ups and drop-offs are in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue and 83rd Street. The bus will pickup your child on the opening days of Session I and Session II promptly at 9:00am. On the closing days of Session I and Session II, the bus will drop off your child at 3:00pm. There will be Adirondack Staff waiting to greet you. Please check our tuition and fees page for specific information about transportation fees.

Tarrytown

All bus pick-ups and drop-offs are at the Tarrytown Metro-North train station. The bus will pick up your child on the opening days of Session I and Session II promptly at 9:45am. On the closing days of Session I and Session II, the bus will drop off your child at 1:30pm. Please check our tuition and fees page for specific information about transportation fees.

All trunks need to be shipped separately and may not be carried on the bus due to space limitations.

Car

Parents are welcome to drive their child to Camp and to pick them up at the end of the session. For driving directions, go to Google Maps. If you need additional directions, please contact our main office.

Driving your child to Camp

Please, do not arrive at Camp before 1:00pm on opening day. We will not be ready to accommodate you. Take the time to have lunch with your child in nearby Ticonderoga instead. Once you arrive at camp, we invite you to take a brief look around, meet your child's counselors, and say your good-bye's. Please however, do not linger too long. We understand this may be a difficult process leaving your child perhaps for the first time. However, long goodbye's can make a child's adjustment to camp a harder one. We assure you that we will take the best care of your child.

Picking your child up from Camp

On closing day, we ask that you arrive at camp at 9:00am.  Please triple check that your child has all of his or her belongings. While me make every extreme effort to guide the packing process, parents will know best what their child should have with them. Click here for driving directions.

Plane

Airport pickups & drop-offs

Adirondack Camp will pick up campers from the following airports: ALB - Albany (NY) International Airport, BTV-Burlington (VT) International Airport and BOS-Logan International Airport (Boston, MA). Please provide us with the appropriate flight information requested. Remember when scheduling flights, that travel time to and from Camp ranges from 2 to 4 hours. Please make sure campers are ticketed as unaccompanied minors on return flight. Airlines charge a specific fee for this. Please check our tuition and fees page for specific information about transportation fees.
