Memorial Day Work Weekend was a grand success this spring as more than forty members of the extended Adirondack family turned up to help restore the peninsula to its customary pristine condition. Campers, staff, and parents (both old and new to camp) enjoyed a weekend full of s’mores, laughter, memories, and, of course, the ever-delectable Macrini cuisine. Interspersed with all the general merriment, our noble volunteers also managed to send thirty dump truck loads of leaves and debris up the hill in an effort Tim proclaimed to be the best he’s seen in 35 years of Memorial Day Weekends. The weekend also served as the unveiling of a brand new Wolf Den cabin (complete with a small porch) as well as a revamped septic system and refurbished kitchen. Camp is looking better than ever as the 2008 season rapidly approaches.
