Adirondack's director is Matthew Basinet.
Matthew Basinet.Matthew has been a teacher and administrator at The Greenwich Country Day School for seventeen years. He, his wife and two children currently reside and teach in Greenwich, Connecticut. Matthew teaches mathematics to seventh, eighth and ninth graders and is the Dean of Students for the Upper School. He also coaches the varsity soccer and ice hockey teams. The Basinet family has been associated with Adirondack since 1951. As a result, Matthew has spent a lifetime in camping: including twelve summers at Adirondack as the director and six years as a staff member and camper. His wife, Nina, and children, Jack and Anna, provide him with the perspective of a parent and help him see life through the eyes of a child. His teaching and coaching experience at a leading educational institution speak for themselves.
