Don is in his first year at Adirondack, and he brings an impressive forestry background. As a Forestry student at Paul Smiths College, Don was a member of the famed Woodsmen’s Team, where he competed in events such as axe throwing and crosscut sawing. By the time he graduated, Don knew he wanted to stay in the beautiful North Country. He and his wife Mary live in their handcrafted log cabin in Ticonderoga, where they’ve raised four daughters.
In his spare time, Don custom cuts lumber on his portable sawmill. Don has quickly become a part of the ADK team, where he uses his carpentry skills to keep our 1904 camp looking great. He especially loves the wonderfully rustic cabins. “This atmosphere is what camp is all about. Kids get a feeling of the outdoors, and it makes them environmentally responsible. As a kid, this is where I would have wanted to be!”Back
