- “This was my first parents weekend and I can't believe what a magical place Adirondack Camp is. My daughter is having a great time and I have such peace of mind knowing how well she is taken care of and how much fun she is having. We are looking forward to many more amazing summers now that we have found the Peninsula!!!!”
Dawn P. (Parent '07) - “Adirondack has been a great experience for both of our boys. Every year, they come home more confident in themselves, but exhausted too, because there is always so much to do. They've made great friends with campers, counselors and staff and truly hate to leave at the end of the session. Thanks Adirondack!”
Elizabeth V. (Parent '07) - “As a child, I counted down the school year with great anticipation. i knew as soon as school was out, I would soon be back 'home' at Adirondack! I knew my life was better for being there. The friendships made at camp are still strong after all these years. to be able to share that with my son is the greatest joy of all! I know he understood what Adirondack was all about when I was driving him down the camp road and he said, ' I love being with my family, but I think of Adirondack as my home.'”
Nancy B. '77-'89 (Parent '07) - “After this past summer, I couldn't imagine skipping a year of Adirondack... Even spending two months at Adirondack seems too short. This past summer was probably the best summer of my life. Thank you for making it so oustanding! See you next summer! ”
Julie E. ‘07 - “It’s a magical place… simply amazing...!”
Neely D. ‘02 -
“There could be no other camp like it…. My son is so lucky -- as are we -- that Adirondack has been such a big part of our lives….”
Susan G. (Parent ‘07) - My son’s experience was extraordinary, fun and challenging…. It gave him a new feeling of independence and confidence…. He loved everything about the Camp – [even] the food.”
Anne F. (Parent ‘06) - “When I am asked if I believe in reincarnation...I answer that I don't know...but I wish it could happen, so I can relive my years at Adirondack.”
Guillermo C. (Former Camper ‘59) - “Every time I drive into the camp, tears come into my eyes. Is it okay for a man to say that? The place, and the way it is run, is so perfect. Idyllic. I am delighted that my daughter, now 13 1/2, has had three summers there and plans to return for all 8 weeks next summer.”
Bruce E. (Parent ‘07) - “The Adirondack experience has been wonderful for our son. We are always impressed with how he seems to have matured during his time at camp. It's a wonderful place for any child to spend a summer…. Thank you Camp Adirondack!”
Irene & Jon L. (Parents ‘07) - “I spent 8 wonderful summers… at Adirondack; the memories, the principles, the love of the outdoors that I absorbed… have never left me. I can still close my eyes and smell… the air, full of pine and Lake George smells, and feel the wind…. Adirondack had a great influence on me, maybe as much as my College and High School….”

“A truly exceptional place… sacred ground in my world [with its] pristine, rugged qualities and deep spiritual resonance. I will always return to this living symbol of my right of passage and remember fondly all of those who… gave me the gift of their wisdom and friendship. My immense thanks for keeping this rich legacy alive and well.”
Roger R. ‘70 - “Hoping-wishing-dreaming,
Of this place.
Seeing-smiling-believing,
In this place.
Mother nature dresses with pride,
In this place.
She wears her most wondrous woods and glamorous greens,
In this place.
She has the weather shine and perform like stars,
For this place.
People bring smiles,
To this place.
People bring love-laughter-heart,
To this place.
People have everlasting joy,
In this place.
There are friends that are precious gems,
In this place.
I am attached to this,
Little place.
Love flows through my body; heating my heart with emotions that are indescribable,
In this place.Adirondack Camp --
My Camp.”Caroline Y. ‘05

“What keeps coming to mind is how great my kids look when they come home. It sounds trite but they look so healthy. Their skin is clear, their eyes are bright, and they radiate energy…. It's the best they look all year…. [They] talk about Camp for the entire 11 months that they aren't at Camp. And whenever they talk about it, they are laughing and smiling. Mostly they talk about the other kids, but Stevie also talks about the 4-day canoe trip he took: how much he enjoyed it, how he portaged really heavy canoes, how great the meal was that they had on the last day (pancakes, I think) and how he was never bored once….”
Susan H (Parent ‘07) - “New friends, new experiences, new adventures…. My best summers were spent at Camp.”
Kaitlin C. ‘94 -

"Adirondack changed my life. Plain and simple. It is the single greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I met my best friend in the world there, I had my first kiss there, but most importantly I defined myself there. It is impossible to be there and not feel this energy, this spirit, this life that just flows through you and all of the other people there. I don't really understand why but the greatest most incredible people always seem to congregate there. Part of this is because it attracts amazing people. but part of it is because it makes amazing people. I have a hard time explaining my feelings for the place because I get so overwhelmed and overcome with emotion. Between the comraderie in blue-white, the family you build in the cabin, the skills you learn in activities, the community you become a part of in any activity and the undeniable never-ending fun there is nothing about Adirondack that has ever not spoken directly to my soul. Where else can you go kayaking, windsurfing, waterskiing, fencing, have a 300 person bbq and go to a dance all in the same day? I have been at Adirondack for the bast 9 summers as a camper, CIT and staff member and eventually I hope to be an administrator. I wish there was a way for me to spend my whole life at Adirondack, but even if I can't it will be a part of me forever. You wil accomplish things you never though possible, make friends with the most incredible people, create bonds that will never ever break. I love this camp, I don't know what else to say."
Matthew G. '07 - "I have spent the past 10 summers there creating friendships that will last me the rest of my life, developing skills I never thought I would be able to do, and finding out so much about myself as a person. I am my true self at Adirondack and it will always have a place in my heart... I love Adirondack Camp and nothing could EVER replace it or even come close to how amazing it is!"
