From drawing and painting to fiber arts, Creative Arts is an opportunity for campers to express themselves. Skill areas include teaching ability in several of the following areas: sculpture, basketry, jewelry, leather craft, fiber arts, and drawing and painting.
Culinary Arts is one of our most popular activities—campers love to cook! Plan and implement engaging, healthy cooking activities that get campers of all ages involved. Skill areas include teaching ability in several of the following areas: basic cooking skills, cake decorating, bread making, and international cooking.
Hip-hop, ballroom, swing—dance classes are where new and experienced dancers can shine. Dancing flash mobs in the Dining Hall? Kids love it! Skill areas include teaching ability in several of the following areas: jazz, hip hop, swing, choreography, and staging performances.
Video Arts is a small but intense program for campers who want to get behind the lens of a digital or video camera. Electronic Arts projects culminate in a screening at the end of each week, a highly anticipated event that lets campers show off their work to their friends. Skill areas include teaching ability in the following areas: leading campers in brainstorming, story boarding, casting, costuming, shooting, and editing. Must be proficient using Final Cut Pro.
Use fun games in a theater workshop setting to help campers learn character and scene development, improvisation, play writing and acting. Our focus is not on performance but rather to build an “actors tool box” that builds confidence, creativity and the ability to speak in front of a group. Our music program gives campers the opportunity to jam using camp instruments, collaborate on mini-musicals, and experiment with song writing. Skill areas should include teaching ability in several of these areas.
