Oh Camp Adirondack has a husky fighting brood and they fight with all their might. These are the first words to the anthem of Adirondack Camp. A camp that has raised me since I was six, and has taught me to embody their plaques of Cooperation, Independence, Responsibility, Creativity, Leadership, Effort, Spirit, Courage, Growing, and Sharing both at home and at camp. It is here that I have made life long friends, and it is here that I have created memories that I will carry with me forever. Adirondack has helped me cope with hardships and overcome many fears. Adirondack Camp is more than just a camp it is my home, and with out it I do not know who I would be.
He comes home each year more confident. He has strengthened his self confidence by taking risks. He tests things at camp because he knows he will be encouraged to challenge himself in numerous ways. He told me how he decided to play the ukulele and sing at gathering. He was scared and nervous but he knew it would ok….and it was all good. I love that about ADK.

This camp holds a special place for Kyle..as he becomes a young man he can still be a child at heart..let go of the phones and video games etc and continue a love for the outdoors with friendships he has built over the years and with new friends. I can’t say enough about how important this 7 year experience has been.

This camp has changed my life more than any experience possible. I have been privileged to know these people and honored to call them my friends.

I could talk about all the different activities for hours, but whats really special about ADK is the people. I’m amazed all the time by the uniqueness of all the people around me. I’m even more amazed when i’m reminded that to them i’m unique! My first year of camp. I came for the activities, but this year, I came back for the people.
