Senior Mentor, Kayak Trips

Hello everyone, I am originally from Michigan, but moved and low live in Lake Placid since 2002. I studied at Rochester Institute of Technology, with a BFA in Applied Photography; MST in Art Education. I have many jobs, but I love them all! I teach Art and coach varsity volleyball at Lake Placid Middle/High School, own a wedding and portrait photography business (Lake Placid Photography); guide at Adirondack Rafting Company; and teach and guide kayaking here at ADK. I’ve been a New York State licensed whitewater rafting guide since 2003, and ACA certified kayak instructor since 2016. I have been lucky enough to turn all of my hobbies into jobs.

I love all the people! The owners, staff, and campers are all amazing, welcoming, kind people and I look forward to seeing everyone every year. I hope to help campers get excited about kayaking and to be able paddle on rivers safely while having fun.
