Michael
Bolton, England
Head of Swimming
Noonway folks!
I’m Michael and I’m from a town called Bolton near Manchester in the UK. I studied music at college, specialising in jazz and classical performance mainly based around trumpet. At the moment I’m working at an outdoor residential centre in the UK teaching elementary aged children how to canoe, climb, shoot some arrows and in general have a great time!
This will be my 5th summer at Adirondack Camp and I can’t wait for the summer to start! This summer I will be head of swimming which will mean I’ll be in charge of getting kids out in the water as much as I can. I will also be the camp bugler, meaning if you’re anywhere near Adirondack Camp, you’re sure to hear me!
In my down time you’ll find me playing in bands, snowboarding, and watching soccer at the weekends. I’ve been working a lot on bass and acoustic guitar this year which you may hear at camp!
The thing I love the most about our camp is the people at our camp. Every year the staff team creates a brilliant community for kids to thrive, and we see the fruit of this every year. Kids are allowed to be themselves and to grow more confident in what that is, which is an amazing process to see.
I can’t wait to see you all in the summer!
