Hello everyone! My name is Emma, I’m 25 years old, and I’m originally from Westchester, New York. In 2019 I graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors in Zoology, and in 2021 I graduated from Tufts University with a Masters in Conservation Medicine (essentially a blend of conservation and environmental health). Some fun facts about myself: I was born in northern Italy, I’ve made several different flavors of kombucha, I aspire to one day become an amateur beekeeper, and I’ve been to one of the northernmost countries (Iceland) and one of the southernmost countries (Australia). My hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, traveling, SCUBA diving, horseback riding, reading, writing, and–more recently–playing the bass guitar.

I’m a blast from the past at Adirondack Camp: I spent a total of four summers as a camper here, but way back in 2007-2010. Upon my long-awaited return, I’ll be teaching canoeing on the waterfront. What I remember loving so much about ADK was how there are so many activities here, that there’s really something for everyone. Not only that, but you’re bound to discover new interests and make great friends along the way. As a counselor for Summer of 2022, I want to help campers learn to love both the water and the outdoors, to the point where they can carry that love with them beyond camp.
