Hey! I’m Vicki, I’m 19, turning 20 this summer at camp, and I’m from Westchester, New York. I’m finishing up my sophomore year at the State University of New York at Oneonta in central New York, about 3 hours from camp, where I’m working on my dual degree in early child and childhood education. Some things about myself are that I absolutely adore my two cats, Ringo and Pearl, I love everything about music: listening, playing (I know a few chords on the guitar and ukulele), and singing, I aspire to travel to every state in the US, and my dream is to live and teach in Hawaii. I can’t wait to be back at camp to be outside and in the water every day, reunite with some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met and meet new faces.
This will be my fourth summer at camp and my second time being SUP staff with Juanita. Heck yeah, we’re the best SUP staff! Even though I only started going to camp during my Ranger year, I felt so welcomed the second I stepped foot into the cabin and I will do everything I can to make sure my campers feel the same way I felt, no matter how young or old. I want to be there for my campers the way my counselors were with me when I felt out of sorts, help them discover their interests, try new things and activities, and teach them my same love for cookie break. Can’t wait to see everyone on the peninsula!
