The Adirondack Camp Teen Program: Building Confidence, Leadership & Independence

Adirondack Camp is a traditional Great Camp in upstate New York which for over a century has provided a safe, fun summer experience filled with friendship, adventure and tremendous personal growth. Ranked as the No. 1 Coed Camp in the US it is located on its own peninsula on Lake George. ADK boasts a 3:1 camper counsellor ratio, 75% return rate, over 20% campers from oversees. With 4 Camps in one (Waterfront, Arts, Land and Trips) there are over 30 activities to choose from such as Waterskiing, SUP, Graffiti Art, Culinary Fun, Fencing, Archery and hiking the Adirondack Peaks to name just a few.

At Adirondack we have a program that focuses specifically on teens and helps them develop into future leaders. Teenagers exhibit exciting, sometimes confusing, and rapid developmental changes as they seek to separate from a world created by their parents to engage at a young adult level in a peer-centered environment. At ADK, we work to encourage our teens to develop new competencies and leadership skills. Risk taking is encouraged through well thought out and healthy adventurous activities, where leadership abilities are nurtured.
