Lake George Five - Cat Mountain

As you hike the three miles to the peak of Cat Mountain, you will encounter a wide range of terrain, including streams, wetlands, and beaver ponds. It is a moderate hike with a few challenging parts.

Cat Mountain, with a 1,956 feet elevation, is located slightly further away from Lake George than other summits such as Buck and Black Mountain, but it provides a expansive panoramic view of the lake.

The hike to the summit of Cat Mountain gives a rewarding introduction to hiking the Adirondack trails.

Tom joined Adirondack Camp in 2012, he spent his first summers in-between University in Leicester, England. He worked as kitchen staff, canoe staff, waterfront floater, and finally Senior Boys Line head.
