Week 8 marked the final chapter of our summer on the peninsula— filled with celebration, reflection, and heartfelt goodbyes. As camp came to a close, we gathered to honor our campers and staff with special awards, share in traditions that bring us together, and celebrate the incredible community we built over these past eight weeks together. On Monday, we wrapped up our last two activity periods of the season before heading down to Senior Point for a beach party after lunch. That evening, the fun continued with a surprise dance—one last chance to laugh, sing, and boogie together.

Tuesday brought traditions we hold close to our hearts. After packing, we transitioned into a banquet lunch and presenting some line awards, followed by our main awards ceremony after dinner, where we honored campers and staff for their contributions to the summer (photos below). After awards we moved to the ballfield for candlelight, where we gathered one last time all together. From there, we split off into lines for Wishboards— each camper and staff member received a board filled with memories and inside jokes with friends, a keepsake to carry home and cherish forever. We sat around the fire with lit candles, blowing them out with a wish for the future.

What an incredible 121st summer we’ve had here on the peninsula. With all the profound connections you make here, it’s never a goodbye, just a “see you next time”. Noonway for now, Adirondackees.
